Exposure has a way of nudging you with doubt — and at its most intense, it can reignite past trauma. As Arc’teryx athlete Tonje Kvivik’s career as a big mountain skier took her to greater heights, anxiety from her childhood began to reappear. In her quest to confront old fears, Tonje turns to her community for guidance: her grandfather, Arne, in Norway, and her close friend and teammate, snowboarder Spencer O’Brien. With their wisdom and encouragement as her guide, she steps into unfamiliar terrain and discovers an inner strength she never knew she had.
