Fortune Tellers Inc.

Mai, now ready to enter adulthood, ventures out to the magical Fortune Tellers Inc. where mystical creatures reveal her future. However, after every reading, the object of the prediction materialises to Mai’s astonishment. These ‘expectations’ latch onto her and accumulate, becoming more and more overwhelming, until she strays from the path set for her. Her curiosity is harshly rejected by the Fortune Tellers, and the ‘expectations’ swarm her forcing her to escape the tower. Only when she realises that they still follow her and threaten to drown her, does she fight back and escape towards a future with a wide, open horizon.
