Season 3 Episode 44: Headhunters of the Amazon

A powerful tribe of headhunters once ruled the jungles of Ecuador. For the Shuar, the collecting of human heads was much more than a method of defense, it was a right of passage. It is said that you were not a Shuar male unless you had gone out and collected a trophy head by the time you were ten or eleven years old. Who were these ferocious rainforest warriors? What power was yielded by cutting off and shrinking the heads of their enemies? Join us on a journey into the dark depths of the Amazon.
