Shekhar Tonite

Season 1 Episode 13: Vikas Khanna

World-renowned chef, restaurateur, and MasterChef India judge Vikas Khanna joins Shekhar Suman for one of the most emotional conversations of the season. From being told as a child he'd never walk, to his mother's unwavering belief that he was "born to fly," Vikas opens up about the journey that shaped his life. He shares the heartbreaking story behind his acclaimed New York restaurant Bungalow — built as a promise to his late sister, and the first restaurant in a century to receive 3 Michelin stars from The New York Times. He also talks about cooking for global icons like Barack Obama, PM Modi, the Dalai Lama, and the Pope, and reflects on resilience, identity, and what it truly means to build a home, not just a restaurant.
